OECD model: tax reporting in the gig economy released a publication entitled “Model Reporting Rules for Digital Platforms: Frequently Asked Questions”. It aims to provide a standardised tax transparency framework in relation to income derived through the “sharing” and “gig” economies platforms. It sets out a list of frequently asked questions (FAQs) on the application of relevant issues.
The OECD hasASIC prosecutes 100 individuals for failing to assist registered liquidators reported that it has prosecuted 100 individuals from 1 January 2023 to 30 June 2023 for failing to assist registered liquidators. These individuals who were prosecuted for offences under the Corporations Act, were also fined more than $430,000. These prosecutions follow the failure of company officers and other individuals to comply with key governance obligations to provide registered liquidators with access to company books and submit a report on company activities and property (ROCAP) after a company has been placed in external administration.
